Legend

Not sure if it is possible to miss someone you have never met. But if it is, I miss this guy. A classy guy, an exceptional actor, a legend. The world will never be the same.

There are few others in the world like him. Not only was he an exceptionally talented actor, his social conscience proved that not all celebrities are immune to their responsibilities to a world less fortunate than they are. It is a testament to Newman the man, just as it is to Newman the actor, that his charity work is as famous and as celebrated as his immense talent. One of Newman's characters most memorable lines (delivered with typically impeccable grace and emotion) reads: "This is the life we choose, the life we lead. And there is only one guarantee: none of us will see heaven." Nothing could be further from the reality of Newman's life. If heaven exists, he'll be up there now, I'm sure, pouring over a great, humanistic, career of celestial performances. A true legend.
