All I'm saying is that it's a odd feeling watching a career end before your very eyes.

A well-respected critic talking about M Night Shyamalan's new film. Wonder what Matt, a bone fide Shyamalan fan, will make of it.

C'mon, we both know I'm gonna love it. I loved Lady in the Water! : )

Who is this so-called "critic" anyway? Regardless of how bad the film is, surely he can't expect it to be the last film Shyamalan, box office dynamite (even for dodgier offerings), ever makes? I'm going to remember the quote and email the fool when Shyamalan wins an oscar in a couple of years.

Afraid you can't claim *all* his films are box office dynamite. Lady in the Water was a definite flop.

Is true that everything else he's done has done very well though. Somethig tells me The Happening wont though. Most of the critics seem to be panning it, although perhaps the knives were being sharpened before they even saw it.
